According to the current terms, after a Chinese person acquires foreign citizenship, his/her Chinese citizenship is automatically forfeit. This is unfair. This is equivalent to “equating obtaining foreign citizenship to not being patriotic”.
Reporter told him that his proposal is a bit unexpected since there are 1.3 billion Chinese people after all, and not many of them have foreign citizenship. However, there are only 3,000 representatives of the Chinese people, who attend the two sessions. But among them 76% of the CPPCC members and 57% of the NPC representatives are foreign nationals.
